Our journal staff consists of undergraduate students from Colorado State University, as well as satellite editors from around the globe. We are the journal "For Undergraduates and by Undergraduates" which we take to heart, as our entire staff is exclusively students working toward an undergraduate degree. Ranging from English to Engineering, our diverse background allow us to hold a high level of quality for publication across all disciplines.
Katie Brown – Editor in Chief
Katie is a senior currently pursuing degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Microbiology. She actively studies antibiotic resistance with her research lab, and hopes to later attend medical school in pursuit of an MD. She has a passion for teaching human anatomy to all age groups. When she’s not immersed in science, she can be found rock climbing, blues dancing, or climbing Colorado's tallest peaks!
Reagan fitzke – Managing Editor
Reagan is a third year at Colorado State University studying Clinical/Counseling Psychology with a minor in Applied Statistics. She hopes to attend graduate school after completing her undergraduate studies, and pursue a PhD in clinical or counseling psychology. She also enjoys painting, drawing, and the occasional photography outing in her free time.
ALex FrickenStein – senior Editor and Director of Training
Alex was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is currently pursuing a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering. He enjoys gaming, learning, fencing, and working with Starwatcher Studios, a film society.
Zach Shepard - Associate Editor
Zach is a sophomore at CSU and is pursuing a degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Music Performance. His current goal is to start medical school after CSU so as to work as a physician overseas. When not studying, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, reading, singing, and spending time with others, though occasionally you may find him practicing pipe organ in the music department.
Caroline Wendt- Associate Editor
Caroline is a Colorado native and is currently a junior in the CSU Honors Program. Because her interests and abilities span broadly, her aspirations for the future are in the works. Caroline delights in creativity and investigation as well as exploring new places and ideas.
Linda Fischbacher- Associate Editor
Linda is a sophomore studying Microbiology, immunology, and pathology with minors in horticulture and German. She hopes to get a Ph.D. in either immunology or pathology and would like to find a way to combat the antibiotic resistance in infectious bacterial diseases. Originally from Aspen, CO she loves to ski and hike in addition to traveling around the world.
Callie Blase - Associate Editor
Callie is currently a second year student at Colorado State University majoring in Marketing and a double minoring in Spanish and Applied Statistics. When she’s not working, she can be found skiing the Colorado slopes or studying in a coffee shop. Callie has visited nearly 20 countries and hopes to continue to broaden her global experiences.
Tiger Zhang- Associate Editor
Tiger is a junior at CSU and is currently studying Economics and Finance with a minor in Mathematics. He comes from Guilin, a famous tourist destination in China. He hopes to be accepted into the master program of Economics or Finance after graduation. He enjoys basketball, tennis, skiing, saxophone and traveling.
Raegan Petch- Associate Editor
Raegan is a second-year student at CSU. Pursuing a degree in Microbiology and a minor in Spanish, she hopes to be accepted into the DVM/PhD program after completing her studies. Raegan’s long time goal is to become a clinical veterinarian, although she has interests in expanding her studies into zoonotic diseases. In her free time, Raegan can be found hiking, drawing, or working with animals.
Sabreen Miah- Associate Editor
Sabreen is a second year student at Stony Brook University. She is pursuing degrees in Biology and International studies and hopes to attend a MD/JD program after graduating. An avid social activist, she’s also a cat lady who enjoys discussing politics, journaling and impromptu traveling.
